Brand Website for GameDev Team
Intro
The client is an ambitious GameDev studio that has already made a name for itself with the successful release of a popular game, widely recognized among gamers. They are currently working on two new titles, both with the potential to become major hits.
However, despite their achievements, the brand lacked an online presence that reflected their level of innovation and creativity. They aimed to build a website that not only showcased their work but also left a lasting impression on every visitor. The brief was clear: a non-standard, modern design with wow effects to highlight the studio’s uniqueness and vision. They chose Ambi thanks to our status as a Webflow Premium Partner, which ensured high-quality execution.

The task
The core task was to develop a one-page brand website that would become the GameDev studio's hallmark and a digital embodiment of their creativity and professionalism. The main project requirements included:
- Original game-themed design: creating a distinctive visual style that reflects the atmosphere of the game industry and emphasizes the studio’s creative approach
- References to the studio’s popular game: Integrating visual elements, characters, and design cues from the studio’s well-known game to strengthen brand identity.
- Animated scripts: developing interactive animations conceptually related to game elements to create an immersive user experience
- CMS Vacancy Collection: Implementing a system to manage vacancy postings, with filters for region and role, offering a smooth experience for applicants.
- 3D-model: creating a lightweight 3D model with polygon optimization for fast loading and high performance.
- 3D scene integration: embedding 3D elements into the website, ensuring their correct operation and full responsiveness
- Form data validation: ensuring correct and secure data input through configuring robust form field validation
- Increased performance requirements: optimizing every part of the website – visuals, animations, 3D elements – for fast loading and seamless performance across devices
This project needed to be not only technically perfect but also emotionally exciting, delivering an unforgettable experience for every website visitor.
The Solution
We used a multi-step approach to developing the project
Stage # 1
UX, structure, wireframe
We start with basic steps: defining the user experience, content structure, and wireframes. For landing pages, the structure was quite simple, so the primary focus was on aligning content through wireframing.
The prototype turned out to be one of the simplest wireframes we’ve ever created due to the minimal amount of text. But we love challenges – and the next project development stages fully met our expectations.😊

Homeopage wireframe
Stage # 2
Design concept
The client came well-prepared for the design discussion and provided 10 reference websites their team liked.
Based on the previously crafted wireframe and these references, we created two design concepts and presented them to the client. After gathering feedback, we came up with a third concept, combining the best features of the first two.

Two Proposed Concepts
Stage # 3
Entire website design
The approved concept underwent minor tweaks, and eventually, the full website layout was completed, including all the necessary components like a tablet/mobile menu, 404 page, popups, OG image, favicon, webclip, etc. We also designed different states for all interactive elements.

Stage # 4
Webflow development
Before jumping into layout, we carefully structured the entire development process. We created a style guide that contained all service classes for headers, text blocks, buttons, images, and other elements. This ensured a standardized approach to development and the project’s monumentality.
Next, we determined the layout behavior across different screen sizes (1440, 1920, 2560, etc.). A “rubber” layout with adapters on key breakpoints (no fixed container) was chosen, allowing maximum flexibility and a comfortable user experience across devices.
Then, we moved on to developing interactive scripts – a key feature of the website. At the same time, we started working on a 3D model concept and searching for a contractor to implement it. However, after several consultations and tests, we decided against 3D integration for two main reasons:
- Negative impact on website performance: 3D elements significantly slowed the website load
- Conceptual misfit: Tthe company specializes in 2D games, so creating a unique 2D-based animation seemed more authentic
As a result, we opted for a Lottie animation in the hero section with script management via JavaScript. This delivered outstanding animation quality without sacrificing the website's high load speed.

Animation
Custom animations and interactive elements
We paid special attention to animating key website sections. For example, the section about the company and its representatives’ offices and the footer, where an interactive reaction to the cursor movement was implemented.
Hoovers on the AppStore and Google Play buttons and footer links became distinct highlights that emphasized attention to detail.
CMS
Functionality and attention to detail
At the final stage, we built a custom CMS for vacancy postings, with filters by region and position. Each vacancy featured a custom form with relevant parameter transfer. All forms were thoroughly validated, including phone number and email verification.
A fun fact: Although relatively small-scale, the project underwent three rounds of external testing, ensuring technical, functional, and visual perfection. We love working with tech companies – they value innovation, reliability, and perfectionism as much as we do.
Finale
Project completion
The entire project spanned 6 months, quite long in terms of the scope, due to content preparation, concept approval, and creative exploration. But we get that. We understand that sometimes clients need time to process certain critical decisions before moving forward.
The client was thrilled with the final result, and we were happy to hear it from the company CTO's testimonial on the Clutch review platform.
This kind of creative, collaborative project makes us proud of what we do and inspires us to reach new heights! Check out what our client had to say about our cooperation below.
Customer feedback
Great experience with the guys from Ambi!
Communication was easy and cozy, which made understanding tasks really simple. Ambi offered two solutions: one exactly as in the reference and another optimized for time and cost. I was especially pleased with their precise and detailed estimate, which they strictly adhered to, correcting all flaws at no additional cost.
During the design process, we held many calls and meetings, achieving the perfect result. Afterwards, the website has also been optimized for smooth operation on various devices.
Transferring the site to our account was as simple as possible, and the instructional videos greatly facilitated the work with the settings. Cooperation not only brought joy, but also introduced us to new technologies.
