Complete digital product redesign

Redesign increases the efficiency of a digital product. Project renewal covers the technical aspect, functionality, and internal structure. Effective website redesign is performed by the Ambi web design studio.

Why is website redesign important?

A business on the internet often loses up to 90% of traffic due to an outdated website. Through redesign, you can create an attractive and user-friendly interface and change the functionality of the digital product. Essentially, the resource undergoes a renovation, but whether it will be major or cosmetic depends on the depth of the problem.

When is it worth doing a redesign?

Ambi-Tech recommends performing a redesign once every 2–3 years. The IT sphere develops extremely fast, leaving those who hesitate far behind. Updates are needed if:

¤

users complain about an inconvenient interface

¤

metrics have dropped: decreased conversions, retention, activation

¤

product development is slowed down due to inconsistent UI

¤

the interface is morally outdated / looks “old-school”

¤

you are preparing for scaling, launching new features, investments

A full redesign requires professional intervention. Therefore, it is worth entrusting the work to skilled Ambi-Tech specialists, who can implement changes quickly and efficiently, benefiting the business.

Our approach to redesign

Planning the restoration of digital resources allows for fast and high-quality updates. For this, deep analysis of the product, user behavior, and competitors is used.

Product and needs analysis

01

To understand what needs to be changed, why, and with what purpose, the existing product and its functions are analyzed. A detailed assessment of the current state allows determining which elements can be kept and which need to be updated.

UX audit and scenarios

02

A UX audit and scenarios are key tools that ensure the foundation of the redesign. The UX audit evaluates the user-friendliness of the interface and identifies weaknesses in content, navigation, and structure. Modeled user scenarios help determine the specifics of the target audience and problem points.

UX/UI design

03

Designers determine whether the structure of the pages is logical, how many steps are required to achieve a goal, and whether the interface is accessible. Elements that received positive user feedback must be highlighted. Preserving them is the basis for the future redesign.

Design system

04

A design system consists of a set of rules, standards, UI components, and guidelines. Systematization allows unifying site pages, selecting basic styles, and simplifying the redesign. It is created during the update process to be able to define new principles and styles.

Support or integration

05

At this stage, professionals on our team create a launch plan and perform the integration. Before launch, QA testing is mandatory, and mistakes are fixed.

The most important support period is considered to be 2–4 weeks after launch. During this time, user behavior is monitored, A/B testing is conducted, and mistakes are refined.

Should you be afraid of a redesign?

Updating a digital product is not a reason to panic if it is necessary and clearly planned. To avoid unnecessary issues, it’s worth listening to the advice of specialists.

Redesign ≠ complete overhaul

The costs are fully justified if the update is done not for the sake of trends. A redesign can be partial. It is needed only when the web resource looks outdated, metrics drop, or business goals change — the process selectively focuses on specific problems.

Data-driven design, not assumptions

Specialists know how to conduct a website redesign based on analytical data and research of the existing product and competitor websites. After gathering the necessary information, they plan a step-by-step update of the resource.

Flexible process (step-by-step redesign)

The process must be flexible. When creating a site prototype, certain elements are preserved. At each stage, changes are made, issues are fixed, and testing is performed. The updated product can be launched only after technical issues are resolved and new content is added.

Involving your team

Employees of your company, as active users, are involved in developing the new website layout. They contribute their suggestions at every stage of development. The technical specification and concept are created considering the users’ requests.

User feedback as part of the process

Web developers study the user experience to make pages relevant. Feedback makes it possible to properly evaluate redesign results and improve website usability.

The Ambi team is always ready to assess all risks. With the right approach, the client will receive an updated product necessary for business growth.

How much does a website redesign cost?

The Ambi web studio follows a “price–quality” balance in its projects. The cost of a website redesign, as indicated in our price list, depends on many factors.

What the price depends on

The cost of services is an important question for every client. The price offer is influenced by the type of website (corporate site, online store, application, etc.), the stylistic approach, and the requirements for uniqueness.

The cost can be budget-friendly if only visual changes are made. A deep redesign is significantly more expensive.

Flexible collaboration options

Our studio offers clients several approaches to updating digital resources. The price for a website redesign starts from $500. The final project cost is discussed with the client and approved in the contract.

A website redesign consists of a set of comprehensive actions. Our specialists consider all strengths and weaknesses of the product to create a successful prototype and delight users with an excellent result.

FAQ

How long does a product redesign take?

It depends on the complexity. A small website or landing page — 1–2 weeks. A SaaS platform or mobile application — from 3 to 6 weeks. We always offer a step-by-step approach to show the first results quickly.

Can the existing functionality be preserved?

Of course. We don’t create things “from scratch” unless necessary. We update the UI/UX in a way that preserves or improves the existing features.

What if we don’t have analytics or clear metrics?

Not a problem. We can conduct a UX audit and collect key insights ourselves. We can also help implement analytics for the future (GA, Hotjar, Clarity, etc.).

Do you implement the redesign into development?

Yes, if needed. We can not only create the design in Figma but also implement it in Webflow, or hand it over to developers with detailed documentation.

Can the redesign be done in parts?

Yes. It’s even recommended. For example, first we update the onboarding, then the dashboard, then the CMS or marketing site. This reduces risks and allows testing hypotheses step-by-step.

How to understand whether a full redesign is needed and not just cosmetic changes?

It is necessary to analyze the problematic areas and determine whether structural changes are required rather than just visual adjustments. If you notice low conversion, slow loading, poor user experience — a full redesign is needed.
